What's new on debateIndonesia

While it's been a quiet few days in Indonesia, we here have been working furiously, hammering out plans.  Here are the latest updates for debateIndonesia readers:

1. Change of Name
Readers will notice that we have recently changed names.  No reason to wonder -  this is all in line with our plans to migrate this blog of ours to a website, which our top Information Systems man is currently developing. The website will bear debateIndonesia, and it is for this reason that we thought it best to streamline the trade name, copyright, and Twitter account with the URL.

2. Tournaments to be Covered
debateIndonesia is pleased to announce that through its network of volunteers and on-the-ground reporters, it will be able to provide readers with up-to-date developments for the following tournaments:

(a) 2011 ALSA UI (Depok, Indonesia)
(b) 10th ILF-UMM English Fiesta (Malang, Indonesia)
(c) 2011 Macau UADC (Macau, China)
(d) 2011 Korea Australs (Seoul, South Korea)
(e) 2011 JOVED (Yogyakarta, Indonesia)
(f)  2011-2012 De La Salle Worlds (Manila, Philippines)

3. Volunteering Opportunities at debateIndonesia
Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago, spanning 1/6th of the globe's circumference with its 13,000 (approx) islands.  It is our dream here at debateIndonesia to cover all major debate centres, and debate & public speaking events in Indonesia whether that be in Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Papua, or Java, and regardless if those events involve high school, polytechnic, diploma, or university students.

This is why we welcome volunteers from all over Indonesia to send in their features, and updates about debate tournaments happening in their respective communities.
If you are interested to volunteer and be one of our live tournament reporters, or if you're feeling inspired by your muse and want to contribute an article, drop us a line at: editorial.board.idebate@gmail.com.

4. More Stories to Come
May is UADC month! We will be running special articles about the host university and feature UADC as Tournament of the Month.

debateIndonesia will then go to Makassar for the month of June!

Manila Worlds participants would want to grab a copy of debateIndonesia's special 'Manila Survival Tips' Issue this December 2011.

Make sure you never miss these!  Sign up for our free subscription.  Just send us an email at our email address below, and we'll add you to our database.

Yes, it's that simple!
