Day 2 of the 2011 ALSA UI encountered a bit of a speed bump as the power went out this morning just before motions for Round 2 were deployed.

| Moved. High school teams stream out of the debaters' hall to catch Round 2 motions. |
Motions were therefore announced outside the debaters' hall.
Round 2 used the announced motions under the heading, "Education". These were:
M1 - THW ban ethnic-bases student organisations.
M2 - THW not allow teachers unions to strike.
M3 - THW criminalise service providers that make assignments for students.
Round 3 motions were impromptu, and dealt with "Sexuality":
M1 -THW give reserved seats in parliament for LGBT.
M2 - THW create more unisex toilers.
M3 - THW allow homophobic comments in public spaces. ----------------
