BIND 2011 Update - Manila Worlds CA, Assumption Worlds Convener part of A-Core

Invi Atmanegara, incumbent Team Captain of BIPEDS (BINUS INTERNATIONAL Pool of English Debaters), announced today that the Adjudication Core for the 2011 BINUS INTERNATIONAL Debates (BIND) will include Lucinda Teresa David (Co-Chief Adjudicator, 2012 Manila Worlds) and Thepparith "TJ" Senamngern (Assumption Worlds Convener, CA - 2009 ABP, CA - 2010 UADC).

On its third year, BIND is a national debate tournament initiated by BIPEDS in 2009 which uses British Parliamentary as its debate format.  During its first two years, BIND was held in July. For 2011, due to lingering suggestions to move it to a time which does not clash with final exams, BIND tournament dates have been slated for September 13-16.

With this latest development, BIPEDS seems to be on its way to keeping a now-growing reputation for hosting a BP tournament which adheres to international best practices, such as bringing world class BP adjudicators to Indonesia, deploying impromptu motions, employing a vetted power matching system, and using the latest BP materials for accreditation.

Last year, the 2010 BIND had a stellar group of Deputy Chief Adjudicators comprised of Will Jones (2009 Worlds Champion), Can Okar (2010 Koc Worlds Chief Adjudicator), Julia Bowes (2007 Worlds Champion), Sam Natale (Octofinalist, 2011 Botswana Worlds).

BIND is open to both high school and tertiary level teams from Indonesia and abroad. Teams will have to hurry when registration begins, since the team cap remains at 40 slots.
