Debate teams around the world await release of Worlds Registration List

The international debating community is eagerly awaiting the release of the official registration list for the De La Salle Worlds, which organisers have promised to release today, 7th April 2011.

In response to some enquiries made through their Twitter account (@delasalleworlds), the organisers informed followers that they are currently finalising the first 300 slots, and will proceed to fill up the last 100 slots according to their previously announced representation criteria.  For reference, i-debate has replicated the criteria from the DLSU Worlds website*:

"As promised in the bid, the remaining 100 slots will be filled based on the following procedure (in order of prioritization):
  1. Countries that are not represented in the first 300 slots;
  2. Institutions that are not represented in the first 300 slots;
  3. Consistency of participation in previous WUDCs; and
  4. Top of the wait list."
